Agent infra as the sure bet: Manus runs 1.5M databases on TiDB, investors say
FinanceYF5 · x · 2026-10-28
From Skyline Capital's Zhang Qian's Oct 21 livestream on who makes money in AI: Will Lang argues AI users form a pyramid—top users go open-source, mid-tier uses ChatGPT/Claude, lower tiers use Manus/Genspark—but whichever app wins, usage flows down to agent infra, making it a "lie back and win" layer. Case in point: Manus has built 1.5M databases on TiDB. Zhang adds it's still selling shovels, just shifting from chips to software—Fireworks, Dify and peers sit in the same layer. Not investment advice.
