Knostic's [un]prompted AI CTF returns Oct 27-29 in SF with unsolvable challenges
moyix · x · 2026-10-28
Knostic is running [un]prompted 2, an AI CTF on Oct 27-29 at The Hibernia SF and online. Free entry, solo or teams of up to four, any model or tooling, capped at 300 players.
- Reimagined for the agent era: rules and format revealed only at kickoff, since any model can pop a flag in four minutes for a dollar
- Two rounds (Tue 10am–Wed 10am; Wed 12pm–Thu 12pm PT), winners Thursday 2pm
- Some challenges have no solution—and they won't tell you which. The scoring table (shown in image) rewards calibrated abstention: sure/guess/abstain tiers with heavy penalties for high-confidence wrong answers
