Ramp data: Opus 5.5 reaccelerated Anthropic demand, but spend still 1.6% below July peak
BenBajarin · x · 2026-10-28
According to Ramp spend data, Opus 5.5 has somewhat reaccelerated demand for Anthropic, but it may not be enough: enterprise spend on Anthropic models remains 1.6% below its July peak. Opus 5.5 now accounts for 63% of Anthropic spend, showing frontier models do matter. The "AI is already good enough" concern is probably overrated; the biggest threats to AI model companies remain price cuts and competition at all intelligence levels. Bajarin adds that enterprise spending comes in waves (like SaaS spend charts), and frequent model/product releases are indeed the key to this cycle.
