X's new referral program rewards each successful friend signup with a full Grok usage reset — currently uncapped, with each reset lasting 6 months. The overlooked detail: X's own terms say referred friends can't have paid for Grok, SuperGrok, X Premium, X Subscription, or Cursor in the past 12 months. Listing Cursor alongside its own plans as an excluded competitor hints X officially sees it as a direct rival — a clause almost nobody is talking about.
