A young man in rural Zimbabwe suffered severe leg burns after falling into a cooking fire during a seizure. At the remote Chisizya hospital, Dr. Mike Jeans faced an emergency operation he had never performed — and used Starlink to call a colleague in South Africa, who guided him through it. The surgery succeeded, the patient survived and is recovering, per the charity MATTER. Elon Musk amplified the story as proof of why global connectivity matters.
