General Catalyst, partnering with Modal, launches the GC Research Fellowship: roughly 20 undergraduates at top schools each receive up to $25K of Modal compute for a 90-day self-designed AI research project, plus access to the GC community. Applications open Oct 27 and close Nov 18, 2026, reviewed on a rolling basis. The motivation: students have plenty of ideas but compute is the constraint.
