MIT & TJU tool 3D-prints everyday objects into self-aware devices with embedded sensors
MIT_CSAIL · x · 2026-10-28
MIT CSAIL and Tongji University (TJU) released a new 3D printing tool that reimagines simple items as self-aware devices. Using "X-Hinges" structures, users can design decor and even robots, with the tool embedding sensors and conductive traces via different materials to send clear data, enabling real-time interaction with users.
