Niantic Spatial builds 4D living model of the real world with city-scale 3D twins
Scobleizer · x · 2026-10-27
Niantic Spatial is turning the physical world into accurate, high-resolution 3D digital twins — captured by Spexi drones, reconstructed into geo-referenced models from indoor spaces to entire cities. Its Reconstruct pipeline offers centimeter-level registration, on-device offline Gaussian splat reconstruction on iOS/Android, and cloud-based photorealistic reconstruction, interoperable with GIS, simulation, and autonomy platforms. The company is also working with NVIDIA and Flexion to close the Sim-to-Real gap.
