NanoCrew v0.1: Open-Source Self-Hosted AI Agent Crew in Docker Sandboxes
ComprehensiveKale373 · reddit · 2026-10-27
A developer released NanoCrew v0.1, an MIT-licensed self-hosted multi-agent platform forked from NanoClaw, positioned as a self-hosted alternative to Grok Bot:
- Runs locally via Docker Compose with SQLite storage; only an LLM API key needed
- Each agent cycle runs in its own container, isolating shell, files and headless browser from the host
- Approvals inbox for sensitive actions; cron/webhook/chat triggers and agent hand-offs
- LiteLLM gateway supports Anthropic, DeepSeek, Gemini, Groq, OpenRouter with fallback and daily spend caps
Known rough edges: first image build needs 20GB disk and takes minutes; slow first container start on Windows.
