forge-delegate: an MCP server that lets Claude Code delegate work to cheaper models
Black-X-Hand · reddit · 2026-10-27
Open-source MCP server forge-delegate lets Claude Code, Codex or opencode hand coding tasks (tests, renames, lint fixes, codebase Q&A) to another model running as a full agent via opencode; the main agent only gets a short summary back, keeping context small. An askmodel tool gives agents second opinions with no file access. Works with any opencode-logged-in provider (DeepSeek, Kimi, OpenAI, Gemini, OpenRouter, Ollama local models), supports presets and parallel background delegation. MIT licensed, setup via npx -y forge-delegate setup.
