Apple adds an AI assistant to Pages, Keynote, and Numbers with MCP support on macOS 27

Apple is bringing an AI assistant to its productivity suite — Keynote, Pages, and Numbers — built on models from Apple and OpenAI.
- In Keynote, it understands document context to design, animate, and refine slides
- In Pages it drafts, restructures, and tweaks written content; in Numbers it calculates, visualizes, and organizes data, suggesting chart types and building custom tables
- The three apps support Model Context Protocol (MCP) on macOS 27 or later, letting third-party AI agents plug in directly
