Reddit debate: do AI agents remove work or just create a review queue?

A developer lays out a core trust problem in AI agent design: agents can flag risks, draft responses, classify items and summarize cases, but if a human must carefully review everything anyway, has the agent removed work or merely moved it into another review queue? Agents look useful in demos because they produce output, yet real workflows still demand answers on correctness, missed cases and accountability. The hard part, he argues, is proving an agent reduces operational load rather than creating a new queue — before you even build it.
