Researcher: AI will simulate much of chemistry and biology within a few years
TimothyDuignan · x · 2026-10-27
The author argues protein structure prediction saw little progress until AlphaForge/AlphaFold suddenly solved it, and many other aspects of molecular simulation will follow the same pattern of sudden breakthrough. He predicts that within a few years we will simulate much of chemistry and biology with high accuracy and efficiency, progressing nearly as fast as pure mathematics.
