Researcher claims molecular simulation will cover much of chemistry and biology within a few years
TimothyDuignan · x · 2026-10-27
Timothy Duignan argues progress in molecular simulation is astounding and accelerating, not far behind pure mathematics — in a few years we will simulate much of chemistry and biology with high accuracy and efficiency, in his view. The quoted skeptic pushes back: we can barely get reliable simulations of a single protein for a few nanoseconds, yet people expect compute alone to simulate an entire human over clinically relevant time frames.
