OpenAI, Anthropic, Alibaba, Hugging Face donate agent stack pieces to one open foundation

Per InfoQ, the Agentic AI Foundation added four projects this week as OpenAI, Anthropic, Alibaba and Hugging Face each contributed part of their agent stack: OpenAI donated Open Responses, a shared spec for LLM interfaces; Alibaba donated OpenSandbox for running agents safely; and MCP is pivoting toward security. Yves Mulkers argues none of the four had to share — they did it so no single vendor owns 'the plumbing' every agent runs on, and asks which stack you'd trust running inside someone else's sandbox.
