Papers with Code revives as an Apache 2.0 open-source project with public API and MCP server

The original Papers with Code site was acquired by Meta and shut down. NielsRogge of Hugging Face rebuilt it over recent months with Claude and Codex and has now open-sourced it under Apache 2.0: a tracker for trending AI research, benchmarks and SOTA. Stack: Python FastAPI backend + React frontend, hosted as a monorepo on a Hetzner VPS, with a public API and an accompanying MCP server. He invites community contributions.
