Agent booking took 2x longer than a website — why agent startup valuations will fall
DominiqueCAPaul · x · 2026-10-27
The author booked a train via agent product Instinct: solid, but twice as slow as Deutsche Bahn's website, and comparing options was easier in a structured UI than a long WhatsApp text. He recalls OpenClaw's hype six months ago (Amazon ordering) performing just as badly — mostly "AI virtue signaling." His thesis: not every commercial transaction will run through agents and interfaces won't disappear; many agent startup valuations will come down even if Anthropic pops above $2T.
