Vjeux · x · 2026-10-27
Oxc team released tsrs, a Rust port of the TypeScript compiler built in close collaboration with the TypeScript team — not a fork. It claims up to 8x faster than TS 7.0 with 70% less memory, runs in WASM (browser/Workers), targets 100% conformance against TS 7.1, and will join the Oxc toolchain. Vjeux highlighted its wild adoption: over 1.09 million weekly npm downloads within the first week.
