sift-light 1.1.2-1 fixes prompt-prefix cache loss, adds DeepSeek Harness support
Deep_Bus_7488 · reddit · 2026-10-27
sift-light, an AGPL-licensed local search and source-inspection tool for AI agents, released 1.1.2-1 fixing an integration bug where enabling tools changed the system prompt prefix, degrading prompt-cache reuse. The fix preserves the Pi prompt prefix during tool activation (requires Pi 0.86.0+) and keeps search guidance when other extensions supply a system prompt. It also adds a native search tool and search-policy integration for DeepSeek Harness 0.2.1-rc.3. The author notes the fix covers the Pi integration only, not cache behavior across all MCP clients and providers.
