kimo: an open-source headless video editor driven by AI agents over MCP
LieTop7965 · reddit · 2026-10-27
A college student released kimo, a free open-source (MIT) GUI-less video editor driven by MCP clients like Codex, Cursor and OpenCode via tool calls: cut, trim, keyframes, titles/captions, color grading, particles, audio, export. The agent can render a single frame to verify its own edits before committing. It's a 15MB CPU-only Rust binary that runs on a 2GB box.
