Qiaomu Reader, an Obsidian E-book Plugin, Passes 8k Installs; Promo Video Made via MCP
vista8 · x · 2026-10-27
Indie developer vista8 released Qiaomu Reader, an Obsidian plugin for reading e-books that has surpassed 8,000 installs. It supports epub, mobi, azw3, pdf, txt, and Markdown formats. The author also demonstrated an interesting workflow: feeding the GitHub repo URL to Renoise MCP to auto-generate a product promo video, noting the visual quality beats pure code generation, though screenshot-based output differs slightly from the real product.
