AWS AI Proposes PAWM: A World Model That Anticipates Pitfalls to Steer Black-Box LLM Agents
Jiongxiao Wang · hf · 2026-10-27
University of Wisconsin–Madison and AWS AI propose PAWM (Pitfall Anticipation World Model). Since black-box frontier LLM agents can't be reliability-tuned via weights, PAWM trains an external world model that selectively predicts multi-step failures before actions are taken, steering agents away from pitfalls, improved via supervised fine-tuning and reinforcement co-training.
