Akuna Group has partnered with Google and Curious Refuge to launch 'From Script to Screen with AI,' a 12-week filmmaking program for emerging creators in Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Sierra Leone and South Africa.
- Students learn AI filmmaking foundations, then specialize in one of five pathways: fiction, documentary, animation, advertising, or screenwriting.
- Graduates can form teams and pitch for production funding fully sponsored by Google; creators keep their IP.
- The pitch: Africa won't just consume AI-generated stories — it will create them.
