Greg Brockman (@gdb), co-founder of Anthropic, announced three major scientific discoveries — in mathematics (harmonic analysis), computer science (complexity theory), and physics (quantum field theory) — saying AI is starting to help improve our understanding of the universe. Most striking is the CS result: Bret Taylor said he was shocked that the exponential time hypothesis is false, having hoped for a P/NP result but naively presuming the models would prove the opposite.
