2023 prediction revisited: AI won't replace fields, it will reshape them
jasondeanlee · x · 2026-10-27
Quoting Dan's announcement of three new discoveries in harmonic analysis, complexity theory, and quantum field theory, weijie444 revisits his July 2023 talk slide predicting AI would hit "complete-information" jobs — programmers, accountants, writers, consultants, drivers, even theoretical computer scientists and mathematicians.
His correction: "replace" was the wrong word. AI won't replace any field; it fundamentally reshapes fields, rewarding deep connections to real-world challenges and other disciplines.
