10 minutes of vibe coding beats Apple Home app for setting up Matter lights
blixt · x · 2026-10-27
Setting up 5 Matter lights via Apple's Home app was painful: constant timeouts, no light-type info, and a forced 5-minute wait for signal strength.
With 10 minutes of vibe coding, the author built a replacement UI showing the data was always available: light details appear on first scan and Bluetooth signal strength is directly readable — the native app simply withholds information it already has.
