Anthropic x Adaptyv protein design challenge targets mutant KRAS for cancer immunotherapy
nc_frey · x · 2026-10-27
The final challenge (Challenge 5) of the Anthropic x Adaptyv Protein Design Competition focuses on cancer immunotherapy.
The goal: design a binder that sticks to the mutated fragment of KRAS — a growth-switch protein that, when mutated, stays stuck on and drives tumor growth — but not to the healthy version. In some cancers the difference is as subtle as a single amino acid, which is exactly what makes immunotherapy so hard.
Submissions close November 8; the best designs will be selected and tested in Adaptyv's wet lab.
