Ashlee Vance profiles SendCutSend: Jim Belosic impulsively bought a $750,000 laser cutter around 2016 and founded the company in 2018. This month it raised $140 million at a $2.1 billion valuation, on track to make 50 million custom metal parts this year for 300,000+ customers — from car hobbyists to rocket, robot and defense suppliers — reviving work that many previously sent to China.
