Illustrator tip: gradient masks fade artwork live, no Photoshop needed

A designer shows how fading in Illustrator works like a Photoshop layer mask: stack a white-to-black gradient on top, select both, then Window > Transparency > Make Mask. Dragging the gradient stops moves the fade live; Invert Mask flips it — no more jumping to Photoshop.
