Robotics-friendly FBA deformable solver lands in PranaLabs' newton engine
ChongZzZhang · x · 2026-10-26
Researcher ChongZzZhang announces FBA, billed as the most robotics-friendly deformable-object simulation solver, developed with PranaLabs and landing soon in the open-source GPU-accelerated physics engine newton (built on NVIDIA Warp), on the ziqiu/fba-solver branch.
The author says an earlier "baby" version of FBA already enabled sim2real transfer of cloth folding within minutes to hours in prior work, demonstrating its practical value for soft-body manipulation. A public demo link is provided.
