NUS lab releases paper formalizing rational contracting for agentic economies
xuanalogue · x · 2026-10-26
The second paper from an NUS lab (led by bhavyesh, with Max Kleiman-Weiner, Roger Zimmermann, and Tan Zhi-Xuan), initiated during the Cooperative AI Research Fellowship, studies contracting between agents. The authors' headline contribution is a rational formulation of contracting, intended as a formal language for studying agentic economies bridging AI and economics — analogous to what MDPs did for AI decision-making. Paper and code are public; more on implications for near-term agentic economies to follow.
