Anthropic Files for Nasdaq IPO: $80.7B Paper Loss Masks $693M Operating Loss, Revenue Up 13x
cneuralnetwork · x · 2026-10-26
Anthropic has filed for a Nasdaq IPO under ticker $ANT, with Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley leading the offering. First-half revenue surged to $16.3B from $1.2B a year earlier.
The headline $80.7B net loss looks alarming, but $72.4B of it comes from non-cash accounting charges tied to Anthropic's valuation; the reported actual operating loss is around $693M. Still insane numbers, but the headline doesn't tell the whole story.
