Don't Give Your AI Agent the Keys to Everything: Scope Permissions First
alifcoder · x · 2026-10-26
@ottleyai argues that handing a task to an AI agent isn't the same as granting it blanket permission. Before letting an agent loose on your accounts, apply least-privilege principles: approve only what's needed, scope permissions by domain (email and files on, payments off by default), and give limited access per resource instead of full access. The accompanying diagram shows an agent connecting to email, files, and payments with individual locks on each.
