Dimillian · x · 2026-10-26
OpenAI engineer Dimillian published the missing changelogs for Codex Mobile in ChatGPT for iOS.
Highlights:
- v1.2026.286 (Oct 22): view/stop background commands via a new pill above the composer on supported remote hosts; mention chats from other connected hosts with @; usage-limit explanations shown in chat; fixed false timeout failures and extra diff lines after repeated edits.
- v1.2026.279 (Oct 13): file citations open directly in the file viewer; collapsible Projects section; queued messages appear immediately with more reliable turn-interrupt handling; Markdown renders by default; fixes for iPad rename prompts, Plan mode persistence, and Codex task-widget reliability with local auth.
