Grok Bot hands-on: can't edit existing Google Sheets, DM permission gaps
koltregaskes · x · 2026-10-26
A user's latest round of Grok Bot feedback highlights concrete gaps: the Drive connector can't edit existing Google Sheets (it only creates new files or replaces its own, spawning parallel '-Grokbot' copies instead of updating the main registry), auto-review custom rules can't be saved from chat (manual setup required in desktop settings), and its X connection lacked the DM-read scope so it couldn't read DMs.
Notably, the author says Grok Bot itself wrote much of this feedback.
