TACL editor Ehud Reiter: don't submit LLM-written papers, human review will reject them
EhudReiter · x · 2026-10-26
TACL editor and NLG researcher Ehud Reiter has a clear message: do not submit LLM-written papers to TACL.
While many people (even high-school students) get away with AI-written submissions at ARR, NeurIPS and other mega-conferences, TACL reviewing is still done almost entirely by humans — and LLM slop is very unlikely to be accepted. A notable counterpoint to the flood of AI-generated submissions overwhelming large-venue peer review.
