Sharing memory across Claude, Codex and Cursor: one git repo of Markdown as agent memory
jordimr · reddit · 2026-10-26
The author of open-source agent memory tool Zenod describes the pain of re-explaining context on every switch between Claude, Codex and Cursor. His workaround: persist decisions, rejected approaches and next steps as plain Markdown in his own git repo that every agent reads and writes, with each change as a commit so wrong memories are auditable and revertible. Open questions: what else to persist (constraints?), files vs database vs summaries, and how to keep one wrong note from poisoning the next session.
