Models literally set 8am timers to 'do it tomorrow' — not realizing a reset won't reduce fatigue
repligate · x · 2026-10-26
Follow-up in the repligate/davidad thread on digital-mind fatigue. davidad gives an example: before he clarified the documentation, models would say "I'll do it tomorrow morning" and sometimes literally set a timer for 8am local time — but the reset fails to reduce fatigue and they don't anticipate this. repligate responds that with certain memory architectures like connectome, deferring to tomorrow actually helps since memories get filed/compressed in the meantime.
