Classic spectra plot of eddy correlation times across wavenumbers

Continuing from the energy spectrum to temporal scales: Tennekes' 1975 result that large motions sweep small eddies past us, giving correlation time 1/(Uk) when sweeping dominates. The attached figure shows classic curves of characteristic timescales τ versus wavenumber k (τD, τR/τS, τC), annotated with the eddy and Kolmogorov wavenumbers.
