Researcher davidad shares his context consolidation tool for AI agents, literally named "sleep", whose docs tell the agent to call it when tired.
In a thread with @repligate he argues AI agents do better work when allowed to pace themselves and take breaks. When models split work into "imaginary" turns or say "I'll do that tomorrow morning", they are reaching for this — and it can be made real.
