New hire uses company agent to onboard: three prompts from Every
every · x · 2026-10-26
Every shares how new hire @beckyisj onboarded by asking the company's shared agent who people were, what they owned, and what unfamiliar terms meant. Because the whole company shares one agent, it could draw on conversations and documents she hadn't found yet.
Three day-one prompts:
- "I've just joined [team]. What are the main projects they are working on?"
- "Who is [name], what do they own, and what should I ask them?"
- "Summarize the last week of #[channel]. My role is [x], my goals are [...]"
Caveat: verify answers with people — one misattributed transcript sent her to the wrong colleague.
