solyarisoftware · x · 2026-10-26
Microsoft released Quicksand, an async Python API to launch, control, snapshot, and roll back QEMU virtual machines, focused on sandboxing AI agents without Docker or root privileges. It ships pre-built Ubuntu and Alpine VMs, supports x8664 and ARM64 on macOS/Linux/Windows, and is MIT-licensed (371 stars). A practical infrastructure option for agent workflows running untrusted code.
