Open-sourced Manga Alpha LoRAs for Krea 2 and MOSS-Image with RGBA output
gatortux · reddit · 2026-10-26
A developer spent a weekend training Manga Alpha Image LoRAs that generate RGBA (transparent-channel) images, releasing two open versions on Hugging Face: one for MOSS-Image and one for Krea 2.
After validating the approach on MOSS-Image, research (assisted by Claude) revealed a compatible VAE for Krea 2, allowing training with the same dataset. Caveats: the Krea 2 LoRA doesn't work with Kroma, but performs well on Kreamax Edit; Base or Turbo modes give the best results. The author admits results aren't perfect but better than expected.
