4B Model Writes Full Kernels but Can't Output a Correct SVG File
cephaloform · x · 2026-10-26
Developer cephaloform observes stark capability split in a 4B model: it can engineer complete forward+backward kernels yet fails at writing an SVG to a file. He compares watching it malform tool calls to watching a bug struggle out of a water basin, and built a lightweight detection circuit that gently nudges the model on format errors, gradually weaning it off the intervention.
