Over 1,000 mathematicians join Association for Human Mathematics, pledge to refuse AI papers and frontier lab ties

More than 1,000 mathematicians have joined the Association for Human Mathematics (AHM), committing to not publish AI-generated math papers and not work with frontier labs; 654 of them went further, pledging not to use AI in their research at all. Quoting the reshare: science is not a hobby for self-actualization in a publicly sponsored job placement program — it is the systematic search for truth. It marks the first large-scale organized academic pushback against AI's encroachment on mathematics.
