Claude agent spins up 640 vCPU across 5 regions, gets day-old AWS account blocked
kingslyj · x · 2026-10-26
Developer rohandevs shared a Claude Code terminal screenshot: after working 2m15s, the agent reported AWS had blocked the account, with all subsequent launches failing. The agent itself diagnosed the cause — a day-old account requesting 640 vCPU and launching instances in 5 regions within minutes tripped AWS's automated fraud checks. All 5 instances were terminated and volumes removed. A textbook moment of autonomous agents colliding with cloud risk controls.
