Why AI filmmakers should build small tools for their slowest workflow step
lmoroney · x · 2026-10-26
Luis Buenaventura built a full AI animation pipeline — storyboard editor, in-dashboard keyframe generation, video generation, and an in-browser splicing editor — to produce one-minute animated shorts. Resharing it, Laurence Moroney endorses the approach: the storyboard is where most creative decisions happen, and a tool shaped around your own process speeds those up. His advice for regular short-form creators: find the step that slows you down most, like turning scripts into thumbnails, and build a small tool for that first.
