Ramp Economics Lab's AI Index, based on transaction data from 85,000+ US firms (through Sep 2026): AI adoption hit 55.9% of businesses (+12.1 pts YoY), with Anthropic at 43.8% and OpenAI at 40.6% adoption. Information sector leads at 79.9%. Median AI-paying firm spends $15.70 per employee monthly vs $9,567.53 for the top 1%. In the week ending Oct 11, Anthropic captured 60.1% of business token spending, with total token spend up 23.0% MoM.
