Claude's mobile MAU up ~79x in two years, far outpacing ChatGPT's 3.6x on indexed charts

Charts from DataReportal/We Are Social (Similarweb data) compare indexed mobile app MAU from Aug 2024 to Aug 2026 (base = 100):
- ChatGPT: 100 → 363.9, with early 30–50% quarterly growth slowing to 3–8% by 2026.
- Gemini: 100 → 2478.4, exploding from Aug 2025 (+118% in one quarter) but recently flattening to +4.6%.
- Claude: 100 → 7912.3 (79x), with a +312% quarter in Feb–May 2026 and +53% most recently — the steepest relative curve.
Caveats: these are indexed values, not absolute users (Claude's small base inflates multiples), and Gemini figures exclude OS-integration usage. Trend: all three growing; Claude fastest relatively; ChatGPT clearly maturing.
