NVIDIA officially released Isaac Lab 3.0 with a new modular, lightweight architecture spanning the robot-learning workflow: multi-physics and multi-rendering support, training at scale, RL post-training, Newton physics integration, the new OVRTX renderer, and LEAPP deployment on real hardware. Lead Gavriel State shared the backstory: after Isaac Gym and Orbit he moved to NeRF/3DGS research, but in October 2024 Jensen Huang personally called him back to lead Isaac Lab—responding to his hesitation with simply "You decide."
